I am a photographer and filmmaker currently based in Asheville, NC. Specializing in editorial, documentary, and photojournalism I use my medium as a means to tell stories that inspire thought and actionable change. I am focused on exploring the human condition and our relationship with the world around us. Culture and it's connection to a person's mental state and emotions is something that fascinates me and plays a huge part in the stories I pursue. I put an emphasis on working with socially and environmentally conscious businesses and organizations outside of regular client work as I am passionate for people and the environment. I also regularly work on my own personal, creative projects as a means to pursue what I feel are underrepresented stories worthy of spotlight and as an outlet for the more ephemeral feelings and themes I enjoy exploring through my camera.
Having earned my Bachelor's in both Cinematic Arts and Cultural Anthropology I regularly combine my training in these areas while on assignments stateside and internationally. Connecting with local communities and pursuing truthful stories I endeavor to use my camera as a way to connect the viewer to the heart of my subjects.
